My entry for the Draw me a Pokemon contest held biweekly at . It's a pretty active group, so check it out if you're into Pokemon!This piece kinda did my head in xD It is too detailed and not detailed enough at the same time. I really like how the ear fluff turned out, but I couldn't really get the body matching to it. But it was a fun exercise! It's nice noticing how much easier shading has become for me.
If I win, I choose Charizard!

Ahh, yeah, longer probably would have been better. Glad you noticed the bg! It was an art tip I saw that was shared somewhere, to start with small backgrounds that only take up about 20% of the total drawing and then slowly expanding that percentage until you're comfortable drawing backgrounds
