On the fourth day of Christmas, MLP gave to me:Four candy canes,
[Three fillies,]
[Two alicorns,]
[And a bird with a Fluttershy tree!]
So I realized I almost never draw Lyra and Bonbon. Huh. Anyway, I'm a bit unsatisfied with how the background on this one turned out. Oh well!

I like that you included Lyra and Bonbon in your pictures but I think Twist would have been better for this. Maybe a nice Twist/snails cross over. That would have been very cute.
I think the background is good. True the chars and the background do not blend well (like photoshop pasted onto the background). Though no matter the case. Both the ponies and the background look great.

I think unicorn magic is the color of their cutie mark. Like Twilight, Rarity and Celestia. It could also be their eye color. Who knows...
