So do I. SNK's best female character hands down. No generic "deadly hottie", or "killer babe" *ahem*tombraider*ahem*. Just a Bad-Ass Woman. Up there with Samus and Ripley. And with some sweet combos to boot.
(And even her bust isn't that ridiculous, given she's 30 and wearing something to hold it in place *ahem*soulcalibur*ahem*)
Love the coloring, by the way. As much as the emphasis on Vanessa's power, rather than her body. Hell, this drawing is so good, both in technique and content, I'd fave it twice if I could.

Also, she punches... alot. Many chicks in fighting games rely on kicking, but not Vanessa.

I really don't like how they "softened" her sprites in XI though. Besides that, she's among my favourite post-Orochi characters, with Ramon, Seth and Shen.

It certainly is great to see more and more great Vanessa drawings on DA.
And as an aside note, from one Vanessa fan to another, don't you think she's irish?
Think about it: redhead, boxer, loves beer, very masculine... And even better: the name "Vanessa" was originally coined by Jonathan Swift, an irish writer.

I love Vanessa. Just a housewife around 30, living happily with her man until his superiors waste him. Vanessas reaction? Revenge, of course. She starts training, learns how to box barehanded, starts working where her husband did (the NESTS cartel) and works her way to the top just for revenge. And all the way with a cocky attitude and a tiny bit of alcohol in her blood. It wouldn't be a interesting background if she was a male, but that's why I love SNKs design for KOF.
This is great work, definetly a favorite.
