Feliciana has felt a little left out lately. Ever since her mama, Rin, got pregnant with a second child, she's been too tired to do much of anything. And although her dad, Jaime, has removed his pointy spines, Feli is still afraid too get near him.

One day, Rin and Jaime were moving around some of Feli's old baby toys. Her playroom was slowly becoming a nursery. That plus the lack of attention has put some ugly thoughts in her mind.

They don't want me anymore. Mama... Mama will be too busy with the baby... And dad... Dad took off his spines for the baby... Not for me. I bet aunt Paloma will leave me, too. She'll play with the baby instead of me. They don't want me. They won't love me.

And just like that, the little wyngling ran out of her dad's cabin. There was only one place she could go to where her parents would never think to look... Suvash's Dojo with Mr. Lee.
