My Mom came by yesterday with some flowers and a little quail pot to give to me in memory of Mini Chrissy ;____________; Thanks Mom~
Rest in Peace Mini ChrissyYesterday I had to take my pet chicken, Mini Chrissy, to the vet one final time. She and her other "sisters" were adopted as chicks from a farmer up in the mountains. She was quite runty when I picked her out of the cardboard box filled with various breeds of babies, this poor girl here was stuck under them, being stepped and stood upon by the others. During the time I had got her, my sister was out of town, so I named the chick after her
She grew up to be a fine hen, growing much larger than the others, providing me with eggs (until eventually I became allergic so could no longer eat them) She would run full speed whenever I called her. Mini Chrissy loved pets and would always wait for me to pet and cuddle her. She was a great lady, until a sudden sickness took over, filling up her empty cavity with various thick green fluids back at the beginning of November. I got her drained every time she would fill up
