What is the Videogame AU?
Its a game AU based on the style of Persona, following the cast of the first game survivors as they enter a game world constructed by Junko Enoshima to free the SDR2 cast from the clutches of despair. Their helpful guides are Alter Ego and Chiaki Nanami.
By defeating and ‘killing’ each one of the ultimate Despairs in their bossfights, Makoto and his fellow survivors free them from the program and their desperate states to wake up back in reality. But beware, each fight will be harder than the last, each dungeon more eerie that the level before- and each fight they win gets them closer to the final boss; Junko.
But all dungeons have a twist, some have labyrinth like structures or resemble a haunted hospital, are full of traps or look like death itself is standing behind every corner. Some of them have unlikely inhabitants; the ghosts of their dead friends. Programmed in by Junko to throw the team off the trail to her, the ghosts have fallen into despair and do not take kindly to 5 survivors.
Will they succeed and free them all from despair, or will they be taken by despair instead?
