Thanks; I'm really glad you like it ^^!!!

Grayscale values, then set those layers to Overlay over the base color. A few more effects layers here and there, textures, and that's pretty much it.
It was actually a huge pain, since it was the first time I did it. Don't think I'll be coloring that way again, though, since I was able to achieve a similar effect with less layers and time.

This looks like a marker rendering, so many different strokes and layers and gradients, it's hard to believe it's a vector piece. I really like the folding of the fabric and the shading you implemented. The texture in the background is also a very nice touch. I guess the only thing that seems out of place is the shadow on the ground beneath him: it's so round while he is not, heh.
