Description Donatello does machines! This was a ton of fun, especially since I've never done lighting in the foreground with a dark background prior. Some sections in here have six different colored pencils used on them, I kid you not. I also used one of the most basic tricks for contrast in the book by having Donnie's nook in almost all cool colors and the rest of the lair in a warm color scheme.

I've also been watching the home and garden channel. XD

This one is sort of dedicated to two amazing artists, crycry and enolianslave, and all other Donnie or Ninja Turtle fans too, I suppose. This was such a joy to color! I tried a different approach when coloring each of those monitors; I couldn't make up my mind...Kind, constructive criticism kindly encouraged!

hi there. i love that you're encouraging advanced critique, you're not scared to hear what's wrong with an image, that's a great start.

i love that you've put in the background. many artist don't do this, including me unless they're at gunpoint. LOL! i also like that you've thought about the composition, every bit of the picture has something in it, it's not off balancing with anything.

the only thing i would say is just watch out for anatomy and foreshortening. it's a good start, and keep trying!

Thank you so much for taking the time to indulge me! And yes, I can see why many artists avoid backgrounds, they can be annoying...but fun to color!

Haha, you've pinpointed my worst foes there--anatomy and foreshortening both are difficult for me. But I'll work on it! Thanks again and good luck with your Gorey Demise comic! And everything else, too, heh!

nice one, i love the soft tones, your work with the pencl is very neat donnie seems to have an hard time with a customer and i love splinter in the background

Poor Donnie has a lot of patience for those difficult customers, heh. Pencils are my favorite to color and play with. And the lair just isn't home without Splinter! Thanks again for your time!
