I gots me a brand new, personal scanner! All these sketches are from last week to all the way back to November.

1. Fleur. Is she pouting, thinking something profound, or just looking pretty.

2. OWLS. LOTS AND LOTS OF OWLS.
Fun fact about myself. I LOVE owls! I don't know why, but something about them is so gosh-danged adorable and cool.
Drew them as some stylistic practice with shapes and whatnot.

3. A tiny little Kate looking up at something. You can use your imagination as to what!

4. Sheldon, from . He's my art and animation mentor and all around cool-guy! He also teaches at San Jose State, hence the T-shirt.

5. Kate...SMILING?! BLASHPHEMY!

6. More Kate. She does make quite a few appearances in this little dump.

7. Tommy. wolfin-out. And that's not lipstick or jam around it's lips... it's BLOOOOD.
No, he didn't bite anyone, it's actually his own blood. I've been playing around with the idea that when the sharp fangs come in, blood comes out.
What? you think growing fangs just happens painlessly without hitting any blood vessels or damaging any mouth tissue?
Yes, I did get the idea from the new Wolfman movie

10. Tommy again. Probably saying something optimistic as is his nature!

11. The original sketch for page 44 on chapter 1. Kate's head proves hard to draw once again!

12. A caricature of the awesome Josie Trinidad! An awesome storyboarder and artist I met in December at The Gallery Nucleus Princess and The Frog Panel. They all gave us the advice: "Always bring a sketchbook wherever you go and draw in pen!" So I sketched all the cool people at the panel and she turned out the best.
In case you want to know what scenes she storyboarded, it was the swamp gumbo/"mincing" scene and a few others I can't remember!

Also you'll probably have to download to see them best. I don't really think the whoe auto-resize is a huge deal.
An inconvenience, certainly, but It's not like hitting the download button is so hard either.
