Niriko looked at the wall while she was waiting for the examiner to tell them they may start – he was looking at the clock concentrated. She felt her heart beating loudly – why? - she never was scared of any kind of written exams, she always has passed them with flying colors – maybe its because she couldn't really study anything? This exams where different then those she had to take before.
She didn't took a look towards Kin, who was sitting in another corner of the room. She knew he must at least be a little nervous about this exams, even when she already was abel to learn – from the previous exams parts - that he is more the quiet and cooled down type of person.

As soon as the examiner gave the signal, the Tenkou looked at her paper reading the three choices she had carefully – her eyes were jumping from side to side and she felt her heartbeat slowing down now. She felt like she now was able to control her breath again.
This will be easy, she thought and took her pen and the paper she had prepeared and started by writing down her choice:

“I will choose question one for this. 'What element is your chakra nature? What are its strengths and weaknesses? How do you overcome its weaknesses in battle?'

My chakra element is earth – one common element under the Tenkou-Clan.”

She took a look up and saw the examiner looking atthem with schooled eyes. Out of her nature Niriko smiled and looked down at her paper again – she now of cause started to think about what exactly she will write, how she will structure her answer and so she took another paper first.

Her brain was full – full with unstructured information she could need for this exams, she just needed to put it into a common order and then bring it on the paper. So she started to take notes.

She started to write down nearly everythign that came into her midn while she was thinking about earth – she even wrote down other villagers of Omoichidou that were earth elemental without any clue how this would help her – well actuall it would help her to finally be able to sort everything in her head.

After she was done with her notes she took a look at them. Good, she thought, good that I have learned how to structure information and that fast. She took a look at the clock, still enough time for her to bring those notes into a text.

She sharpened her pen again and took her exam paper, reading the few words she has already written again and then smiling she took her notes next to her non-writinghand and started:

“The first and biggest weakness about the earth element is, that earth is a 'stubborn' element. It is the one element that is the hardest to learn because a rock would never move without any help from outside – earth isn't 'alive' like fire, water or air or even the energie of a lightning strike. This fact that includes hard work to master the earth element entails that many just give up on learning the art of earth jutsus.

For those who take the time to sit down, concentrate and learn to master their earth element, this element one day will be a big help. Earth jutsus are strong and have a big reach of use – so they can be useful not only in battle, ...”

Niriko took a look up from her paper as she felt the examiner walking by her – he looked down to her paper and Niriko instantly smiled at him. The white-haired girl felt like a little kid by doing this and then she noticed that the examiner was pointing at the clock. She took a look. There still was enough time for her why was he rushing her – she can make it in time, no worries.

Then she saw him pass by and walk towards Kin whos head was down looking at his paper and Niriko could see his hand moving, writing. Fast she looked at her paper again.

She placed her pen on the paper again and continued her sentence.

“... but in battle, earth can cause huge damage to your opponent, when you take the right moment to strike back. Outside a battle the earth jutsus may be used for gardening or bulding up different things made out of stones, like they could build houses after a huge natural desaster or a war to help and gain some first steps back to normal.

However the strenght of the earth element, you get exhaused really fast while using it in battle, because it not only takes your chakra but also your own physical stamina to use it. Thats why training is one of the most important things for earth users, you have to train your jutsus and your body for the use of earth jutsus.

The moment a earth user can't use his jutsus would be the moment he isn't surrounded by any kind of earth – which means being on an open ocean or maybe being captures in a prison made out of something like wood. Here the earth user would try to help himself with another jutsus because he would have struggle finding anything that would help him. To avoid a situation like this I would recoment to carry anything that may help you with you – like some small stones in a pocket that may be used for some small jutsus or even as a weapon.

The opposide element to earth is air, which meant we would have struggle fighting against an air user, which may be right at the beginning. But to the fact that earth is stubborn and string, we can at least gain some balance to the battle. We may not be able to throw any rock or maybe throwing weapons like a kunai at them, but we also can use the earth jutsus as protection from their attacks, like using them as a barrier. Also a air elemental wouldn't be able to blwo away anything that is to heavy for him, which means that when we find out how strong his wind jutsus are, we may also be able to fight him wit flying rocks.

Another way to be able to fight an air elemental is by using earth jutsus that are completely performed on the ground. Moving the ground and getting some plates out of it would be an easy thing for a talented earth user.

For air being the opposide element to earth it also means that someone whos natural chakra element is earth would have big problems learing air jutsus because the nature of the air is completely different than the nature of earth.

The element earth has an advantage against is water. So any water elemental enemy would be easier for us. We can stop them from getting any water by closng a pound or filling the water with mud – what makes it harder for a water user, mostly for beginners, to gain this water for any kind of attack. However the fight against a really talented water user may be getting more difficult, because those also would be able to gain the water out of some mud to use it – that menas we again would need to find out about the skill level of our enemy to properly fight against them, if it would be enough to just mix all the water to some thick mud or if we would need to completely cover all of the water with rocks.

Just because earth has an advantage against water, this does not mean we shouldn't take out enemy serious, because as told before, if a earth elemental is completely sourrounded by water, there would be no chance for us to get any earth for our jutsus. So always keep an eye on the element level of your enemy.

To face those weaknesses in battle I started to train my own body more – I started to train it with and without the use of earth jutsus to gain a better physical stamina and strenght so that I won't be exhausted by usign my own jutsus. However it is not always possible to keep on track with it, so when I feel I am getting tried because of the use of my earth jutsus, I just try to keep them on a minimum from this point. Mainly I always try to keep my earth jutsus on a minimum, also because on this way I may use them as a surprise attack on my enemy.

As soon as I am captures somewhere where I can't use my earth jutsus because of lack of earth, I am used to carry some sharp stones with me – as I also recommened – so I can use them for some jutsus and also as cutting or throwing weapons.

To use the earth element properly it takes time, you need to listen and you shall have patience to wait for the right moment. The time you have spend to practice any kind of earth jutsu will pay off, as the earth being a strong and reliable companion in battle and also in any kind of life given experience.”

As she made the last point she took a look up from her paper – only five more minutes. She knew she would make it in time, but she thought she would be faster, just like she always was. She put the pen to her side and took a look at her paper again, reading the words she has written one ore time to avoid any spelling mistakes she could have made.

“Time is over.”, she heard the examiner say and so she took her paper to the front, waiting for Kin to do the same. He looked normal, like always, not giving any kind of bad expression, just as cool as he looked always, she thought, but she smiled. She smiled at him. She knew this smile was a smile of relief, because she now was done with the exam and she knew all that may happen now she can't influence.
