Man it's been awhile since I've posted on this account.

I'll admit I haven't really been inspired to draw pokemon. I'm still playing the games, but I've had this internal conflict within myself in terms of how I want to draw myself and my mons. I usually draw them relatively close to what they look like in the official art, with some of my own touch here and there. But never really close to how I normally draw in the classroom. It'd be very cartoony/anime-ish and not really my style. It's kind of why I've been keeping separate accounts from now on, cause I wanted to distance my class work from my pokemon work...

But because I've been concentrating on my classwork/more professional work, I haven't really wanted to draw pokemon. And I've really wanted to draw my HG team, but I didn't really want to do it as I've done in the past. So I played around much more in this piece. Kasu of this drawing is closer (though not exactly) like my usual figures and the pokemon themselves are a little more experimented with. Gotta say I like this drawing (except I wish i had done more with the Heracross :[ )

So I kind of have a minor story that goes along with this Kasu. When I restarted my Heart Gold game with Kasu as my character in mind, I wanted to recreate my Crystal team(ish). But when i got into playing, I realized that I had already done my journey with that team and I wanted to move on (I still kept Freesia though). I pondered for a bit and I came up with a new idea: Kasu's team would be made of pokemon given to her. None of them are things she caught on her own. Well, to get through the beginning of the game, I had to use caught pokemon, but her final team are all mons that were technically not caught by her (Freesia was given by Elm, and Togekiss was given to her as an egg. The rest were traded in from other games). I pretty much love this team now.
