Description 4. Underwater
Today's theme is Underwater, and who better to draw underwater than the Zora Champion, Mipha. Mipha's my favorite of the four Champions because she has the best story (seriously, after going through the Vah Ruta section first, the other three seemed to have hardly any storyline) and she's so adorable. I never realized just how jewelry she has on, though. It's amazing she'd be able to swim at all with all that bling weighing her down.

Oh, and I totally wasn't hiding her hands behind her back (like I used to in elementary school); it just seemed to me that the Zora would swim like fish, with their arms held by their sides. Anyway, enjoy!

This looks great!

Mipha was my favorite of the champions, too, as well as the first I freed in my first playthrough of BotW. I didn't know yet that the champions were all dead at that time, and King Dorephan's words saying how he would still like to hope that they had somehow survived had fooled me into thinking that it might be the case (this IS a Zelda game we're talking about, after all), and so it felt like such a letdown to face Waterblight Ganon only to find that Mipha was already dead and can't be saved...   And then there was also Kapson saying how he'd like to perform one last wedding ceremony in his lifetime; he had me thinking that perhaps Nintendo just might grant the player the option of allowing Link to actually marry Mipha after rescuing her! (I knew it seemed unlikely, but Skyward Sword DID grant the option of allowing Link to get together with Peatrice if the player chooses, and BotW had already surprised me beyond expectations in confirming Link and Mipha to have canonically been childhood sweethearts, so it didn't seem too implausible at that point...) But no. They killed her and the other champions off completely. Clearing Vah Ruta honestly left me with a feeling more on the lines of failure than success. I even found myself avoiding any other Divine Beasts for awhile out of fear that the other champions' stories were going to be just as depressing. ...I was rather disappointed to find that none of the other tribes in the game seemed to have much of a story to them at all. LOL

When starting the Divine Beasts, I was convinced that either 1) The Champions were somehow still alive (like they'd all been frozen in time, or something) or 2) They each had a relative that would take over for them (like a sibling, child, or spouse). While I really wanted Mipha to be alive, I also wanted to see Sidon take her place. Turns out I was completely wrong, and the Champions were still in control, only dead.

Thank you! I tried my best to make her tons of jewelry accurate.
