Leia Skywalker is the daughter of Anakin and Padme Skywalker. She is often called "Princess Leia", especially by Grand Master Yoda, because her mother was once the Queen of Naboo. Though she loathes the intimation that she is royalty, she accepts that some see her that way. Leia prefers to think of herself as precisely what she is....her mother's padawan. Leia is considered to be Padme Skywalker's greatest student in the Jedi Arts. Leia is certainly Padme's most loyal student, as she is almost always at her mother's side. Padme and Leia are frequently traveling the galaxy on missions for the Jedi Order, especially when those missions are missions of mercy, such as bringing food and medical supplies to Raltier, a planet that was once blockaded by the Empire due to suspicions of being rebel sympathizers. Leia has also proven herself to be a natural leader. The Jedi Order's clone troopers have a great deal of respect for her, and will follow her orders without question, even if it is to jump down a sarlaac's maw. Leia is quite close to her brother, Luke Skywalker. When Leia and Padme were captured and imprisoned by the Galactic Empire, during one mission, Luke enlisted the aid of Han Solo and a squad of Clone Commandos to rescue them. Because Leia and Luke are fraternal twins, they share a strong bond through the Force. Because of this, they can each sense when the other is in trouble, and if they go into battle together, they fight as if they are a single mind, and their Force powers easily compliment each other, making them a force to be reckoned with.
