Description Name: Olivia
Species: Chinese silk moth (Bombyx mori)
Birthday: December 1st
Age: 23
Height: 11 centimeters
Weight: 12 ounces
Sexuality: Bisexual

A new girl for my bugverse, Olivia is a Chinese silk moth who's a friend of Nyla, my tarantula hawk wasp gal.
Olivia is very gentle and a total sweetheart who'd never hurt a fly. Not that she could, cause that'd be assault which is illegal. Her kindness has gotten her taken advantage of in the past, and she's too soft to really stand up for herself.

She also has an unrequited crush on Nyla, but is too nervous to act on it and tell her how she feels. A big part of their friendship comes from Nyla sticking up for her when she's too nice to tell people off.
Some of her favorite hobbies include sowing, knitting, staring at lamps, cooking, and eating. Speaking of eating, she's gonna be subjugated to weight gain and stuffing in the future.
And if you thought she was fat already, this is her at her slimmest in the summer.

why does she gain weight in winter?

To stay warm. Insects can't generate their own body heat, so by cultivating mass they can retain more heat.

Oh okay, cool. Do the other insects do it?

No. Nyla and Vanessa are both tropical species so they don't naturally put on weight in the winter. Olivia, on the other hand, can double or triple in size in the winter because it gets cold where she's from.

Oh so they don't get fat?

They can, they just don't do it autonomously as a seasonal change.

And then her winter physique turns her cudliness factor up to eleven.
