- Has a Warlock-type relationship with a godlike being that gifts him boons, except they are dating also. Borders on terrible for both of them, but they're having fun.
- In every other universe that James appears in, he dies young. His Patron/Beau assures him that he will break the chain, and survive for all eternity at his side.
- Wears a chain holding the soul of the first James to attract their benefactor. Offers advice ( of dubious quality ), sarcastic commentary, and misplaced humour.

- James was insanely good in school, especially in math. In the most mundane 'verses he is an accountant. ( Followed by classes like Mage, Tactician, Wizard/Warlock, etc : High INT, High CHA, Low WIS )
- Is notably terrible with the smallest of children, but not for a lack of effort. The smallest frighten him, he's terrified that he'll hurt them. The rest just confuse him - James neither gets, nor vibes with kids, and someone usually ends up crying ( it's him, 9 times out of 10 )
