Have you ever seen a more suspect-looking line-up? I'd gotten a little behind with my duties as a mutant zoo-keeper, so I'm introducing some new arrivals on mass today. Beware (from left to right):The Deat: part bat, part deer, aggressive and territorial with a taste for blood!
The Shug: part Sark, part Pug! An annoying animal who's just as deadly on land as he is in the sea!
The Rhino-Bug: Part Rhino, part ladybird! - don't be fooled by those pretty colours, red and black spell danger! These guys will often swarm en-mass during mating season and can trample a whole village flat!!
And finally The Lemrantula: Part lemur, part tarantula, this freaky arachnid wonder can make webs to catch pray the size of a pick-up truck! It eats anything and everything from Fruits to animals bigger than itself! - it injects digestive juices through its mandibles and sucks out the cocktail, leaving behind just an empty shell of anything that might not have dissolved already.
I couldn't decide which I preferred between the last two, so fellow Keepers can take your pic on which one you want to draw for this week's challenge!
Memorabilia was great for those who weren't there; we raised over a grand (not bad since there were only 2 of us artists!) hopefully will be able to post some sketches soon!

I'd have to think about that.. Likely best to keep them away from soft furnishings if I did..

s'up to you.. I has the idea for the rhinobug for ages and that was going to be my choice, but the morning I drew this I had a dream about a lemure=spider, so I drew that too, and I think it came out better than the rhino bug so I left both of them on there cos I couldn't choose
This was all done in photoshop (pencil tool)... the only mutant zoo pic I've done the linart for in flash so far has been the scoroats

Almost anything mixed with a bat automatically looks like the devil, but you lemurantula definitely takes the cake for! AWESOME XD

hehe! thanks! I like the idea that they can injest pretty much anything organic too, so they could creep up into your cupboards while still small babies and grow and grow while feeding on your cheerios until one day you go to grab a bowl and BOOM! there's a lemurantula huggin' your face! :3

you only need either the rhinobug or the lemurantular mind you, - I couldnt' choose between them but that doesn't mean you have to draw both!! ^-^
