It's HERE! The New UK Thundercats magazine is out today!
- I've had my copy through this morning and I'm really pleased with how it looks

Really beautiful colours and lighting effects here! One thing I've always struggled with is figuring out how to take a character's original colour-scheme as viewed in typical daylight and then transform them to one appropriate for sunset, night-time etc...

that's the kinda thing that's really tricky to do in real media, but stupidly easy with the advent of digital colouring and filters etc.. I generally colour most things to look like daylight to start with then just apply different colour effects/lighting layers etc to make it look like the relevant atmosphere

Fair point; I can never do it successfully with traditional media but I should probably try using the steps you mentioned the next time I paint digitally... I usually try to get the ambient colours right in the first step and they usually turn out looking inaccurate and wonky... Anyway, thanks for the tips!

hehe.. tbh I love the new show... they couldn't really have bought the T/Cs back exactly how they were in the 80's, and although I loved it when I was a kid having re-watched it more recently it really was pretty bad in some ways

Did they resolve the 'Lion-O is the same age as the kids when he gets into the suspended animation capsule, but he ages and they don't' issue?

I didn't know about that one! lol ... the story's pretty different to the original, so there's been no suspended animation capsules so far.... the kids are younger than him when they meet for the first time

chasing pants: yeah.. I don't know what, but he seems to love chasing a pair of Jason's pants (clean, of course) if I hold them up in-front of him.. he just runs in circles around them for ages! .. I'll have to video it sometime, it's hilarious
