Description Yeah, so I was playing around with FFVI sprites, and ended up coming up with this.

I started out wanting a bigger/cleaner version of Terra from the end of the game with her hair down, and once I finished drawing the two frames for that by hand, I was like "huh, why not make Celes TOO!?!"

so yeah.

EDIT: So yeah, I screwed around with the cape a bit to make it move a little more on the right side. I'm not entirely pleased with it, but ...meh.

Hey. I like your sprite if you don't mind if I make a couple of notes.

From what I can tell you used Celes faint sprite for the hair. I used Terra's head for that.

From my perspective, It looks like she is standing on her cape. You could have used her battle ready sprite and it would have seemed like the wind is blowing pass her.

This is my version (done to show a friend) [link]

It still looks good.

First of all, I'm glad you like it it's 4.5 years old and I don't do ANY real sprite work; so yeah, I'm well aware that it's not perfect.

If you pay attention to the sprite itself, and compare it to yours that you linked, the hair is nearly identical, because I *did* use end-of-game-Terra for the hair, but just added back in Celes' hair clip.

But yeah, the pose is lame because really, it was something I dinked around with one afternoon for kicks and squiggles and I am in no way practiced or skilled with sprite editing

That's okay. I do alot of sprite editing as a honny, and it's gotten to the point when I play games I take notice of all sprite work. I just couldn't help but notice. Thanks again for the reply

I love this sprite editing! I wonder if I could ask you the permission to use this as an avatar in a Final Fantasy forum...

Sure! You're more than welcome to use it, I'm glad you like it.

Please tell me that your handle is inspired by The Last Warrior, that would be like... the coolest thing. I have loved that story for years.

Incidentally, now that I'm struck by the thought: are you the same Katchan that used to write DBZ fiction ages ago? And that was on aestheticism.com?

I apologize terribly for this sitting unanswered so long -_- I have failed at dA something fierce for a long while now. I am not the same Katchan from DBZ fictiondom, but I do remember seeing a few of her things. Sadly, there's not much in the area of well done literature in that fandom, short of the amazing Last Warrior set, so I didn't get too heavily into it.

Heh, have you read DBSZ? If you haven't, I'll give you the link. It's a cobweb site now, but it used to have great fiction.

I have not. The only ones I read were ones hosted on ToT and a few random ones from ff.net when I was really desperate for convenience.

Link away, my dear

Enjoy! After 7 years and outgrowing most of fanfiction, I'm still sorry it's unfinished.

Of course it is. I've been using this nickname on the Net for so many years now that I tend to forget it, but I have to give credit to The Last Warrior, yes.

P.S. Anyone knows where I can retrieve the story? It's been offline for ages now.

Here: [link] is the fanfiction page of Nora's site, complete with TLW, Full Circle, the rest of the stories from that series, along with some other pieces by her and others. (And sadly, I'm not the katchan she talks about on the page, that's just a coincidence)

Well, I do have some good news for you - my packrat tendencies when it comes to my computer files have proved useful at last. Back in '02 I made text documents of TLW, FC, and Before and After so that I could print them and have portable copies (boy was *that* a lot of paper) and after a rather short search, I found all three of them.
