I have a question: is tracing anatomy reference like this considered theft? I have never traced a pose personally (where's the fun in that?) but I've always wondered if that was the case, since a few artists I watch on DA have requested that their reference sheets not be traced.
Great work, by the way! I love seeing so many new reference sheets--it's very inspiring and it makes me want to draw my characters again!

I think tracing can be helpful. I was very reluctant to even entertain the idea of tracing 3-4 years ago when I was just starting to pick up art. I had always viewed it as a huge taboo and plagiarism. However, while tracing outline by outline hinders an artist's improvement, the same concept I found can't be applied to the huge idea of tracing. If you are simply drawing over the figure, there is no real learning unless you make it so. Tracing can help improve hand memory on how the juts of bones work and the flow of lines in relation to the figure. It only really helps when you choose to learn from it. I used to sketch on top of my references just as a safety and I can say that although I no longer do that, it has really helped me learn a lot about the way I view the body as a whole.
However, it's still respectful to take into consideration the artist's wishes for their reference.

Now that I think of it, I remember my professor telling us that we should trace our backgrounds as much as possible because it saves time. (Apparently it's what they do in the big leagues.) But agreed, if the artist says no tracing, it means no tracing.
