Finally I have finished Nikifor
Nikifor was one of Polish artists. He was thought to be a little bit retarded, because his works were primitive and childish, he lived all his life in poverty.
"My Nikifor" is a movie done by Krzysztof Krauze. The main character is played by a talented actress (sic!) - Krystyna Feldman. This is her starring as Nikifor.
I have been struggling with this painting for a long time. Or should I rather say: I started it and then for a long time I haven't been able to finish it. Well, until now.

Lol, I'm amazed by the time you took drawing his clothing. Usually I try and avoid anything with stripes on it. The way the stripes follow the folds has always sort of thrown me off.

Very beautiful portrait. I love the attention of his skin structure. Maybe a little darker shading of his hat and a little more shading of his shirt would have been nice... But all in all, great work!

I love to draw older people, they just have so much texture to their skin. You have done a fantastic job here, especially on the neck and chin and the reflections in the spectacles.
