Description
Chiddingstone Castle is a historic house located in Chiddingstone, West Kent. It is known for its 400 years old history and unique collections of Ancient Egyptian, Jacobite, Japanese, and Stuart artifacts by the infamous Denys Bowers. This Castle was built by the Streatfeild family and remained in the family from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th. Today it is run by a charitable estate set up after the death of Denys Bowers.This lovely lake features within the grounds, and I often take opportunities to photograph it during the different seasons. In Winter it takes on a more eerie appearance as this image shows.
