I like her as a villain. I never shipped her with anyone but I found her to be a very good villain mostly because you got to see her inner workings and that she was more complex. Honest was straight up evil. Esdeath, not so much. She's got a complicated history.

Seriously??? All her so called inner workings ever showed was that she was an unlovable, overrated and hideously irredeemable crapsack who should have been shot in the womb and the human garbage carrying her to term kicked off a cliff for good measure. Esdeath was slime acting like she was better than everyone else because she was stronger than everyone else, Hell! Acting like she was a better whatever she was than she actually really was. And yet every moron who see's her see's more of what they want to see instead of what she truly is both inside and out. I hated her because the story wasted time giving depth to a depthless shallow pool whom hypocritically served the weak she held in so much prejudiced contempt. Esdeath Sucks Ass, always has and always will, if anything the hack Author showed how much of a universally reviled dirtbag she really was the more he wasted time humanizing her jerkass. Frankly the series itself put too much favoritism in her, that was made evident by how such the setting gave the most loathsome human piece of shit who ever lived everything she never really deserved. Not complex, not even remotely interesting, just a self deluding hack brat who couldn't see why Tatsumi would ever love her or the fact why she was unworthy of love to start with. She hammered that point home in trying to freeze over the country, her own men, their families and all so to hell with that mindset man.
