Description
In late 2017 I was commissioned by North Star Games to do a series of drawings in the style of field sketches for the digital version of their board game, "Evolution".
Prior to that I'd done creature avatars for the game, but this prompt was unique. Each drawing was based on a combination of three traits the player could choose for their creature, and the resulting images would appear as unlock-able rewards when certain conditions were met.
Traits include terms ranging from morphological features to survival mechanisms, e.g., fat tissue, long neck, foraging, scavenging, symbiosis, fertile, horns, hard shell, climbing, warning call, etc.
Aside from the three trait prompt, I was given a lot of freedom to draw whatever sprang to mind so long as it fit the realm of plausibility the game was aiming for (primarily it should look like it could have evolved from something presently existing on earth).

The trait combination for this creature was Fertile, Horns and Foraging. Huge boars that use horns to assist in digging up juicy roots, tubers and invertebrates.
