Wow.. how did i miss this shot? I really, really love this. The graphic designer in me is drawn to the geometric shapes created by the lift, and the contrast the human figure creates to that.. an element of chaos in the order. I also see the figure not as distressed, but at peace.. that hand to the face gesture like one someone might do as a sigh of relief, a release after something more strenuous.
I adore the colours, as ever, and I just love practically every shot you and steven do with this model, you guys really seem to bring out such a range of emotions with him, regardless of whether its up close or a far off shot like this. The red button in the lift is just a popper for all the green too. It's a brilliant shot. Would you consider making prints of it?

it's an horror film by Vincenzo Natali (the director of "Cube") and takes place entirely in an elevator.
it's isolating......fear inducing.....and full of paranoia......basically everything I feel is in you photo.

This photograph is excellently shot for several reasons. I like the fact that the figure is sitting in the corner, but also that his hand is slightly over his face as if he's in some type of mental despair. The light over head makes the photograph look scary, but deep down it gives it also a feeling of being lonely or somehow forgotten. I like that the figure is dressed in primarily black, it goes well with the black border. Also, I like the overall green dingy colour along with the peaceful bluish colour - it's beautiful.
