Well allow me to disagree. It is not exactly like that...there is a lot behind his personality and he is sure not only cold-hearted and stuff... He lost his parents when he was ten years old and he lived in an orphanege till he was twelve and then he was adopted by a cold-hearted man...that was poisoning his mind every day making his rage grow every single day! He experienced the minimum compassion in his life and he was only taught that in this world you fight alone and it is weather you destroy or being destroyed! It was not his falt I think

After all he has proved himself that he cares about his brother more than anything else...

Yeah, I didn't fully understand him until recently a few months ago about his past when they started to show all the seasons back to back on tv. So I understand what you're saying.

Indeed! He is a man that met no compassion in his life! That's why he is like that! He has proved many times though that he has a big heart!

In the anime in season 5 he tried to protect those two unknown children...
