Okay, so I'm having some problems with Tumblr... I think I'll just make my blog somewhere else. So far, let me publish my stuff here! HoehoeheoHope the font isn't too small.

Awww, cute!
Except the very last one was so sad. And something I always thought caged birds might be thinking.
However thenI remembered the story my mother would tell. It was about the canary her mother had had for quite a few years, confined in a small cage, always sitting and staring and some times singing sadly.
One day when Mom was alone in the house, all doors and windows shut, she decided to let the canary have what all caged birds wish. To be free!
So she opened the door and coaxed the little bird out to the edge, telling it, "Fly! Fly! Get some exercise while you can!"
Well, the little bird was so excited it leap into the air, began to flap its wings, and flew around the room just once.
And then immediately fell straight to the floor with a little thud. And never moved again.
Near as my mother could figure, it was so excited to be free, its little heart burst, and killed it.
Mom felt so bad for years. Especially because she tried to do something nice for the bird, and instead killed it. Her mother was very sad about that, too. And never got another canary after that one.

Yeah, I've heard stories like this one before. They're always so sad they make me sad too. But I insist that nothing like what you just told me would happen if humans would just let them free!
A dog can at least run in the garden.
A cat can jump the higher places in the house.
A hamster can run in the wheel (and I was told they love it), can even walk around the house if it's owners let it.
But the main caracteristic of a bird is the ability to fly. Nothing can change that. Specially because they cut their wings before sell them. It's slavery, in my very opinion. And it's probably because I believe that be able to fly is the most picture of freedom.

Three. My hamster Skitty escaped so many times and I gave up, allowing her to live in the walls 8D. My cat never tried to eat her.

Oh yes. No, she tries to eat ME. I just held her up to my cat's face when I got her and told her seriously, "Kiba. If you touch her, I'll kill you and eat you in a soup."
