Another addition to the "That was Canon?" series, featuring one-shot transformations found in comics. Its not really a surprise that X-Men Member Kitty Pryde ended up as a cat at least twice.The first time I was able to find was the 1984 alternate reality mini-series Magik, where Kitty is transformed into a by a sorcerer. The second, which inspired the picture, comes from "Wolverine First Class #4", where Kitty is transformed by the villain and apparently goes on to lead a high-fantasy army with a sword and a jet-bike. I couldn't find the comic itself, but it looks pretty awesome.

Just wanted to let you know that I found both comics in the Comixology website and some other comics from your "That Was Canon?" series. Found some on Amazon as well.
I have put you on watch so I can see future updates from you and so far I like seeing your TF artwork. Do you take requests or commissions? I might have a few ideas to sent your way.
Also I guest in a request, I would love to see more TFs from other know comics from DC and Marvel, and/or maybe other good ones from other series for the "That was Canon?" series. I think they will be fun to read once I get the comics, either digital or physical.

Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I'm glad that my little series inspired you to find the comics! There are a lot of fun stories with some cool transformation sequences in them. I'm partial to the Kitty Pryde Cat one (the whole run of Wolverine First Class remains one of my favourite Marvel series and the TF was a great way of introducing it) and the Batgirl Naga TF from Det. Comics 516-517. "That was Canon?" remains one of my favourite sets that I've ever drawn, so I am glad that it inspired you. There's a lot more TF in comics that I've found since then, so I'll definitely be revisiting this series (Black Widow Lizard, Falcon Werewolf and a few others have happened since then, plus many I missed the first time around.) Basically, I'm putting together a proper list to have enough of them to do another run, so if you know of any others, please send them my way! I'm always looking for stuff like that! In the meantime, no need to worry about a lack of Marvel/DC TF. Characters from both are frequent subjects in my art, so there will be no shortage of them.
I offer cheap commissions for about $10 for a full colour character, or sequences at $10/page with some variation depending on complexity. If you have something you want drawn, just send me a note. Yeah, I managed to track down a copy of it recently too. The transformation lasts for a bit afterwards so we get lots of great "after" shots. I really enjoyed that arc!

In the Magik limited staring Illyana Rasputin the Demon sorcerer and lord of Limbo Belasco turned Kitty into a Cat person.

The comic in question is actually here at my library, with the story arc's title being "Last Knights of Wundagore." She isn't actually transformed by the villain, but by the local story-keeper to fulfill a prophecy to defeat the villain. (It being a story arc about anthros, I could not help but be drawn to it.)
