A lot of my headstocks have little 'accent layers' spicing them up... but what they generally mean is I screwed up and the veneer was cracking off there. That spot wasn't the only little flaw in the process, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I've sanded everything to 320-grit, so now it's time for some stain.
