Digitally painted using Corel Painter 2018. I have included a link to how this piece was painted. My inspiration was some photos I took in 2001 and my thumbnail sketch. Willow City Loop is an area in Texas near Fredricksburg. The little town of Willow City is surrounded by beautiful hill county on which sit many ranches. There is a small road that runs though the hills and ranches of this area and it is called the Loop. When you top the rise to drive the loop in the spring when the bluebonnets are blooming you see a vista of blue haze. There are bluebonnets running up the hillsides, under trees, around rocks...it can be spectacular if it is a good season for them.
