Pro'lly because any other dragon character that I've seen, at least, has always had something relating to dragons in their name? [Draco, for example. I see that alot... ]

Plus, Joseph is just a great name... Now that my attention is recalled to this, I think when I read the name, I was reminded of my grand uncle who like...graduated from Drexel, and then MIT or some crap. So, seeing Joseph's reaction to the exploding machinery, and obviously my own life-association with people named "Joseph"...
