"Roxas!" yelled a familiar voice. Roxas turned to find his twin Sora running towards him through the crowded hallways. Sora finally caught up to his twin and started panting heavily trying to catch his breath.
"What's up Sora?" Roxas asked. If he keeps me much longer I'm going to be late for Math…
"Do...do you...have your Chemistry…done?" panted Sora obviously in a hurry as well.
"You didn't do it again?! Sora! You can't keep copying homework forever! What about when we're seniors and you need to get into college?! What are you going to do then?! Copy on the ACT's?!" Roxas yelled.
"Whoa! Calm down Roxas! It's not the end of the world, it's just Chemistry." Sora simply replied
"That is so not the point and you know it" replied Roxas, "the point is you never do your homework. Speaking of which, you didn't find me this morning…"
"And?"
"And I'm wondering who let you copy their math homework from. You fell asleep yesterday so I'm pretty sure that you have no idea on how to solve integers." Roxas replied
Sora stopped, clearly not having thought this all the way through. "I…uh have no idea what you're talking about Roxas…" replied Sora while backing slowly away from his twin.
Roxas stared at his twin. He was furious. It wasn't the fact that he again didn't do his homework, Roxas was used to that. It's been happening since the 5th grade. It was the fact that he went behind his back to find someone else's homework to copy.
Roxas opened his mouth to yell at his brother when the bell rang signally the end of passing period. He was now late for 4th hour. Not only was he late, he was late for Math, the only class he needed to pass.
"SORA! THIS IS YOUR ALL FAULT YOU IDIOT!" Roxas yelled at thin air. Sora had run down the hallway fearing his brothers' wrath.
He started walking down the hallway again mumbling to himself, "Stupid Sora. Always getting me into trouble. Why did I have to have a twin? An irresponsible one at that…"
Roxas stopped walking when he heard someone laughing behind him.
"Poor little Roxas. Such a little bookworm too." came a voice from behind
He abruptly turned to see who was talking to him, only then was he face-to-face with emerald cat-like eyes. Roxas, surprised to see someone so close to him, took a few steps backwards to distance himself.
"C-can I help you?" Roxas asked
The man laughed and straightened himself. Roxas mentally gasped. He was tall. Roxas' head only went up to the strangers' chest. Fantastic, like I needed to add 'shorty' to my list of annoying things.
"Aww, you don't know me?" Roxas shook his head "Well now I'm hurt." The man shook his head and made a sad face "I cannot believe you have no idea who I am!"
Roxas looked at the man fully for the first time. Besides being tall, he had spiky red hair, two tattoos underneath each eye that looked like upside down triangles, and he was wearing all black.
'Shit' he thought, 'he's from Organization 13' Roxas started backing away slowly, "Well sorry that I don't know you but I really have to get to class. See you later!" He started turning around when a hand grabbed his shoulder and turned him back to face the stranger.
"Now see here Roxas, I seem to think that you're lying. I think you know exactly who I am." The man started
"No! Really I have no idea!" Roxas struggled to back away but the man kept a firm grip
"Well then, since you have no idea," he started sarcastically, "I guess I'm just gonna have to show you who I am."
'Stupid brat' Axel thought to himself 'I can't believe that I have to drag him to the hideout. If he would've just admitted that he knew that I was from the gang we wouldn't have a problem. But no, he has to deny, deny, deny. Geesh, he's a real pain in the ass.'
"Ow!" Roxas yelped. Axel looked behind him to look at the stupid blonde he was pulling.
"What's wrong little Roxy?" he asked keeping his annoyance hidden
"Ow! Don't call me that!" he yelled again, "What's wrong is that it feels like you're trying to pull off my entire arm! Let go!"
Axel shook his head, "Nope. Sorry no can do Roxy. Since you keep on saying that you don't know who I am, I'm going to show you." Just admit it now dammit! I don't want to have to do this to you! Axel silently yelled at the blonde
They headed out into the school's parking lot. 'Damn. Did I park on the lower half or the upper half today?' Axel pondered
"Lost your car?"
Axel whipped his head around, "No, why would you say something like that?"
"We're just standing here doing nothing, and you keep looking around." replied the blonde
"Well look whose a little smarty pants. No, if you must know I was deciding which path to take to avoid the cameras." Axel lied
"Impossible."
"…excuse me?"
"No matter which path you take the cameras will see you." He explained
"Us. No matter which path we take the cameras will see us."  Axel replied with a sly smile
"It doesn't matter. If we get caught I'll just say you were trying to kidnap me." said Roxas matching Axels' smile.
'I'm gonna have to watch him…damn more work.'
After finally locating his car Axel resumed dragging Roxas through the parking lot finally stopping in front of a 2007 fire-red Mustang.
"Holy shit…" Roxas started
Axel turned and smiled "Like my car bookworm?"
"I…uh...never mind"
"Hmph, well whatever" said Axel as he went to open the passenger door "Get in Roxy."
Roxas got in the car without saying a word. Axel got in the drivers' side and promptly started the car. As soon as the engine rolled over the sounds of music blared in their eardrums.
"DAMN!" Roxas yelled "COULD IT BE ANY LOUDER?!"
Axel laughed as he started to turn down the stereo. "Actually yes. That was half of what it could be."
"It wasn't even that good of music." Roxas stated
Axel turned and stared at the blonde, "What did you just say?"
"The music was bad. That's what I said. Do you have a hearing problem too?"
Axel turned the stereo up full blast. "How's that Roxy?!"
Roxas put his hands over his ears to try and muffle the sound "OK! I TAKE IT BACK! JUST TURN IT DOWN PLEASE!"
"Do you have any idea what you just called bad music?" Axel asked peeved
"No. I just heard what I thought was bad music." Roxas replied
"Whatever."  Axel threw the car into drive and floored it out of the parking lot.
The drive was dead silent. Axel, who was going to try and let Roxas out of what was going to await him, was mad at himself. He not only had to drive Roxas to the hideout but he let his temper get the better of him. He stopped the car near the abandoned railroad tracks.
"Where are we going?" Roxas asked
"Somewhere horrible" Axel answered as he got out of the car and motioned Roxas to do the same.
They started walking along the rails in silence. It wasn't long until Axel could see the familiar tunnel ahead. He looked over at Roxas who seemed oblivious to the danger that he was approaching
"Roxas," Axel started. The blonde looked up into his eyes, "I'm sorry."
As they approached the tunnel Roxas started getting nervous. 'Why did he apologize? What's going to happen? Maybe I should tell him that I know he's in Organization 13'
"Hey…um…what's your name?" Roxas started
Axel looked down at the blonde. 'Is he serious? He doesn't know my name? Maybe he really doesn't know anything…' "The names Axel. Got it memorized?"
"…Axel…that name sounds familiar." Roxas stopped and looked up. They were at the entrance of the tunnel. The place screamed 'go away'.  Someone long ago had placed large pieces of wood in front of the entrance so nothing could get by, and as Roxas looked further up he could see someone had spray painted the number 13 above the tunnel. 'To warn other gangs that this is their territory' thought Roxas.
"Come on lets go" Axel said while giving Roxas a slight push
"Go where?!" Roxas stated "There's no way to get it!"
Axel laughed at the naïve blonde "Of course there's a way in Roxy. You just have to be looking in the right place."
Axel walked up to the entrance and picked up a small board from the ground. He stuck it in between two larger pieces that blocked the entrance and pushed down. The wood started moving. 'He's crazy!' thought Roxas 'He's trying to kill me! All that wood is gonna fall on me!'  Roxas started walking backwards, intending on running for it.
Axel laughed watching him trying to run away. "I wouldn't do that if I were you" Axel gave on last hard push and the wood collapsed around them. Roxas rubbed his eyes to clear away the dirt that flew everywhere.
"W-what just happened?" Roxas stammered
"It's an illusion you dork" replied Axel, an amused look on his face
"What?"
Axel gestured around them, "See there are only a few pieces of wood that actually block the place. The rest are twigs we throw up there to look like it's barricaded.
'Impressive' thought Roxas 'wonder who thought up that little trick.'
"Come on" started Axel "we're late."
Axel pushed Roxas in the mouth of the tunnel and they started walking again
"What exactly am I doing here?" Roxas asked
"Well since you don't seem to remember me, I'm going to jog your memory a bit." Axel replied
"Remember you? We've never met before." Roxas stated
A look passed over Axels face that looked pained and heartbroken. It was gone in an instance but Roxas knew what he saw.
"Here we are. Tunnel sweet tunnel." Axel went to the wall and turned on some battery-operated lanterns. "And then there was light!"
Roxas gasped. All along the walls were pictures. Not just any pictures, pictures of Organization 13. He stepped closer to look at them. There were some of them at the beach, the town park, the city dam…and in the some of the pictures, was Roxas. There he was, wearing the same clothing and acting like he really belonged.
"Axel…w-what's going on? Why am I in these pictures?!" Roxas demanded
"Well…Roxy it's a long story…
"A few of years ago a couple of friends decided to make a group, and they could do whatever they wanted without people always yelling at them. They decided to call it 'Organization 13.' They wanted to get all their friends in on it, and in total there would've been 13 members. We were part of that group Roxas. The first members were Xemnas, Xigbar, and Xaldin. Next were Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion. Then soon it was Saix, myself, Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene. You were the last member, Roxas. Number 13.
"We just hung out and did friend stuff. We didn't really become a gang until a gang attacked us. They were called 'Heartless' and they killed Marluxia, Zexion, Larxene, and Lexaeus. Then unfortunately Xemnas lost his mind. He went crazy after they died. He shot everyone, and then shot himself. I was shot in the arm, but I recovered quickly. Everyone's was fatal, and they died soon after we went to the hospital. But you Roxas, you went into a coma.
"Your twin Sora was a member of the Heartless for a short time, and after he found out what had happened he quit and has regretted ever joining in the first place. He didn't know other members had killed some of our friends, but he still feels guilty because if they hadn't Xemnas wouldn't have gone crazy and shot everyone including you. You were in the coma for about 6 months, but during that time I wasn't allowed to see you. I wasn't family and I was a member of a gang, so they weren't letting me in, no matter what. But Sora…Sora stayed by your side everyday you were in the coma. He told me if you were making progress and when something would happen. But I felt so horrible.
"I knew that Xemnas was losing it and I didn't do anything, and what happened is that we lost everything. You woke up and they told you, you were in an accident. An accident. But it didn't matter. You didn't remember anything about the gang, the shooting, or even me. Sora didn't want me talking to you. He didn't want me to bring back memories of what had happened. Didn't you find it strange that he was always around you? I mean I know twins are close, but you must have felt a little smothered. I guess he thought that since I'm a senior and I'll be leaving in a couple of weeks that I would drop it and leave you alone.
"But I can't. Roxas I want…no. I need you to remember. I know it's hard; I want to forget what happened. But Roxas, there are things that you can't forget, that you need to know. I-"
"I want to see them." interrupted Roxas
"See what?"
"I-I want to see their graves."
"I'll take you to them someday. I promise…Roxas…are you okay? Did I say too much?" asked Axel
"N-no I'm f-fine. C-can we go?" Roxas asked
Axel looked at Roxas. He seemed shaken. 'Maybe I said too much. There I go again, ruining everything with my big stupid mouth.' "Yeah Roxy, we can go right now." Axel said
As Axel turned around to turn off the lanterns Roxas grabbed three pictures off the wall and shoved them in his jeans pocket, then turned to leave with Axel down the dark tunnel. 'I need to know what happened. Axel isn't telling me everything.'
When they made it back to the school Axel pulled in front of the school to let Roxas out.
"Aren't you going back in?" asked Roxas
"Nah, I'm a senior. I'm practically done now. They don't care if I skip." replied Axel
"Oh…okay…well then…I guess I'll see you later?"
"If you want to see me, then yeah, you'll definitely see me later." said Axel, a smile forming on his lips
After they said their goodbyes Axel sped away leaving Roxas all alone in front of the school. Roxas reached into his pocket and pulled out the three pictures he took off the wall in the tunnel. The first one was of Axel and him at what looked like a Christmas party. Someone was holding mistletoe above them. Axel was kissing Roxas' cheek while he was looking at the camera. He had one eye closed, the other obviously trying to look in Axel's direction and his mouth was scrunched up in a funny pose. Roxas laughed at his own expression, 'I look like I'm having a lot of fun…'
The next picture was of the group having a picnic of sorts. Everyone is eating ice cream and laughing at the person behind the camera. Roxas was in the middle, sitting on Axels lap while Axel is resting his head on Roxas' and sticking his tongue out. 'We look like a couple…'
When Roxas pulled out the last picture he gasped and dropped them on the ground. It was of him and Axel and they were kissing. It was obvious they knew they were being watched, they both had one eye open looking at the camera and Axel was flipping off the camera. 'Is…is this what he wanted me to remember?'
Roxas looked in the direction Axel sped off in. "What happened when I was in the group? What exactly did Organization 13 do? And what was my part in all of it?"

The first one was of Axel and him at what looked like a Christmas party. Someone was holding mistletoe above them. Axel was kissing Roxas' cheek while he was looking at the camera. He had one eye closed, the other obviously trying to look in Axel's direction and his mouth was scrunched up in a funny pose. Roxas laughed at his own expression, 'I look like I'm having a lot of fun…'
The next picture was of the group having a picnic of sorts. Everyone is eating ice cream and laughing at the person behind the camera. Roxas was in the middle, sitting on Axels lap while Axel is resting his head on Roxas' and sticking his tongue out. 'We look like a couple…'
When Roxas pulled out the last picture he gasped and dropped them on the ground. It was of him and Axel and they were kissing. It was obvious they knew they were being watched, they both had one eye open looking at the camera and Axel was flipping off the camera. 'Is…is this what he wanted me to remember?'
Roxas looked in the direction Axel sped off in. "What happened when I was in the group? What exactly did Organization 13 do? And what was my part in all of it?"
