Ok. So I like to make icons to match my desktop wallpapers and I like to use all of the wallpapers *Noktowl makes, here is the most recent one [link]dA is being a bitch about loading the folder for this so have the full size to stare at for awhile until then.
My eyeballs are tired from staring at this all day.

It's how you have to do any sort of controlled fade in illustrator.
[link] you use all the dots and lines to control the depth of the shading and each dot has to be a certain color.
