Dear Kathryn,
I dedicate you these words of a poet, Albert LAIGHTON, for describing aurora borealis with more accuracy:
"With strange, fantastic shapes they haunt my brain;
A sky of amber, streaked with silver rain;
A blaze of glory, Heaven's resplendent fires;
A temple gleaming with a thousand spires;
A sea of light that laves a shore of stars;
The gates of Paradise, swift-rolling cars;
A golden pulse, quick-beating through the night;
Contending armies mailed in armor bright;
A gauzy curtain drawn by unseen hands;
Night's gorgeous drapery looped with starry bands;
Vast, burning cities, that lie far away;
Blushes on Nature's face--pale ghosts of Day;
A boundless prairie swept by phantom fire;
The vibrant strings of some gigantic lyre;
Emblazoned chariots ever skyward driven;
God writing in the open book of Heaven;
The flaming banner of the North unfurled;
The mystery that dares a boasting world!
"
I would love to see with my own eyes this magical show of the nature too. Maybe one day, maybe with you my lovely friend

Wonderful work dear Kathryn.
“With the aurora borealis flaming coldly overhead, or the stars leaping in the frost dance, and the land numb and frozen under its pall of snow, this song of the huskies might have been the defiance of life, only it was pitched in minor key, with long-drawn wailings and half-sobs, and was more the pleading of life, the articulate travail of existence. It was an old song, old as the breed itself--one of the first songs of the younger world in a day when songs were sad.”

Dear Kathryn,
I'm very touched by your kindness and your friendship . I do love poetry, like you. This art is really an important part of ourselves. One needs to give beauty to the things and to our feelings. That's we are doing with our art, aren't we ? Maybe, words can make us fly and change the world : that's already a great experience . Dear friend, I would like to let you discover this poem (from Baudelaire) which gives another idea of the artist :
The Albatross
Often, to amuse themselves, the men of the crew
Catch those great birds of the seas, the albatrosses,
lazy companions of the voyage, who follow
The ship that slips through bitter gulfs.
Hardly have they put them on the deck,
Than these kings of the skies, awkward and ashamed,
Piteously let their great white wings
Draggle like oars beside them.
This winged traveler, how weak he becomes and slack!
He who of late was so beautiful, how comical and ugly!
Someone teases his beak with a branding iron,
Another mimics, limping, the crippled flyer!
The Poet is like the prince of the clouds,
Haunting the tempest and laughing at the archer;
Exiled on earth amongst the shouting people,
His giant's wings hinder him from walking.
— Geoffrey Wagner, Selected Poems of Charles Baudelaire
I hope you'll appreciate it

Hm thought provoking, I guess because he realised how all living things are precious, I think all the best poetry make us think a little. You should read more of Coleridge if you like that, he wrote some weird stuff though, he was a dreamer and liked smoking Opium I believe lol making his poetry very outlandish at times. Blake is another interesting poet, he used to see fairies lol!
