Look a new boring wolf portrait(I just don't get tired of doing them). The best I have ever done and still not 100% pleased but I think it look okay, hopefully my next wolf portrait will be even better
Used ref (not sure were the picture is from, found it on google)
20-25 hours or so

How do,you do this? Do you need to draw layer on layer of many different colors of fur? (I can imagine the sore hand)
it looks so much like an image, with all the loose fur strands hanging here and there, reflecting tongue, ...!
i looked at a 2007 wolf portrait, sharp improvement!

Mostly lay down the ground colors and then start to draw fur for fur, so I don't work with too many layersΒ

Can imagine, and you are really good at it too ! Only by judging how well you did this wolf and the other lovely ones in your gallery I would honestly love to see you make a ferret some time, if you ever feel for it of course

I used to have some, even actually bred pet ferrets, but changes in my life meant I couldn't keep them, but I still love those furballs
