This is gorgeous - you really got the whole struggle down pat! I think that while they'll be friends, there'll always be that friction there, and whether that ignites a spark of luuuuuurve or starts an explosion of crazy-ass bending is entirely up to Mike & Brian. Still, you've captured that friction SO well; it's awesome!
I especially like how it looks like Katara isn't leaning her weight on him out of trust, but more to try and knock him over and make him look stupid.
