Physical Features: Tall, with an almost gangly-looking build and long legs and arms. Wavy, slightly unkempt short auburn hair and prominent eyebrows.

Bio: Ari is not native to Konoha, and her original birthplace is unknown. She was first found in Konoha at age seven, when she approached the ninja academy by herself and requested to be enrolled, stating she already had some training. When Academy Instructors looked into her, they found that she was an orphan who had travelled to Konoha with a band of merchants. When questioned, the merchants stated that they had found her, lost and starving, wandering about in the Northern Land of Fire, and had taken her in. Ari was either unable or unwilling to provide any more information about where she came from, what happened, or where her family was. Eventually, Ari was adopted by Hayashi Kenrou and Meiko, and was able to enroll late in the ninja academy. True to her word, she had received prior training, and she managed to keep up despite having missed the beginning years. A few years after her entrance to the academy, her adoptive guardians Kenrou and Meiko, passed on. Rather then going to an orphanage, Ari was allowed to live independently in the cabin the Hayashi had left her as a minor in the shinobi program, and she recieves a small allowance for basic living. Recently, Ari has graduated for the Academy and become a genin, after which she was placed on Team 7. Team 7 will be begin taking missions tomorrow, having just passed their jounin sensei's test today.
Personality: Ari is a very headstrong, opinionated young girl, who has definite, assured beliefs about the world that she sticks to. She is often rash and acts or speaks without thinking. Adventurous, playful and mischievous, she manages to work her way into anything that grabs her interest. While she has a generally cheery and upbeat demeanour, she can also be quite sarcastic and sour. Ari is confident in herself and her abilities, to levels where it becomes an almost vain and arrogant pride. She is boastful, and doesn’t seem to pay much note to her flaws.  Like most children, she is primarily self-centered, and much more involved with herself and her own issues and feelings than bothering to consider anyone else’s. This, in addition to her hot-head and rashness, can cause her to be quite rude, sometimes without intentionally meaning to, and other times just not caring. She can be both a pessimist and an optimist, depending on the situation, her opinions and feelings, and the people involved. While very confident in herself, she holds contempt for those she considers to be beneath her, though she still recognizes when someone is clearly above her in skill or rank, and can respect that – albeit bitterly in some cases. Ari is dedicated to her shinobi career, and works hard to better her ninja skills; however, the same cannot be said for many other aspects of her life. When faced with tasks she considers unimportant, she can be very lazy and resentful, wanting to spend her time either training or doing something “fun”. Though she does take her shinobi duties seriously, she is still very light-hearted and unconcerned about other things, and other than training, she spends most of her free time either playing or relaxing. She loves to joke around and poke fun of things or people, not always understanding the effect her words can have. Ari can be selfish and even greedy, but she will show appreciation and kindness to people whom she likes and are close to her. She can take offense to certain things, while not being bothered by others. She also has an aggressive nature and conflict (often physical) is her default method to solve problems that she faces.

- Ari is a tomboy, referring to herself using the masculine "ore". She thinks that girls who "waste their time primping up and chasing after boys" are foolish, and she sees little worth in girlish things like makeup, clothes shopping, and hair. Indeed, all her academy playmates were rambunctious boys, and she never developed any relations with her female classmates, believing most of them to be weak and not suitable ninja.

- Although she is registered as Hayashi Ari, the name of her adoptive grandparents since she did not have one of her own, Ari does not use her given surname, and introduces herself simply as "Ari".
