So I loved that Mori and Becket didn't kiss, they represent the perfect heterosexual form of friendship; a hetero form of Kirk and Spock which is so rare, they always make the sleep with each other in these movies >.< which is cool, but I love friendship more than love! I was reading an article oh "How Harry Met Sally" and there famous line about a men can never be friends with a women because of sexual tension, and how that destroyed a lot of ideas in movie of making the hero and the heroine "just friends." I believe there is sexual tension between every human being, man/woman, woman/woman, man/man. Kirk are Spock, one of the most strongest symbol of friendship in television culture, and look how much sexual tension we can see?
I love the actor saying "a love story without a love story. It's about all of the necessary elements of love without arriving at love itself," about the relationship between Mori and Becket; that's what Kirk and Spock is. You don't need to show us the physical love, the entire TOS series shows us how Kirk and Spock arrive at love
it's amazing! That's why I put blue streaks in Spock here

I love your artwork and I agree that it was cool that they didn't kiss on screen and just looked really happy to be alive and to be together but there relationship is actually in part romantic in nature and it specifies in the novel that there is a great deal of attraction present and that they do kiss on Raleigh's escape pod at the end, the film just didn't show it explicitly...I do love their friendship though and I thought it was a wonderful element : )

Agh! I love Kirk and Spock and Star Trek as a whole; same with Pacific Rim! It was an amazing movie and really made me want to read the graphic novel! This is absolutely beautiful and I feel it captures their relationship really well. How do you think the rest of the crew would fit into this universe?

This is a very good picture! I do love how you were listening to music as the idea came to you. I have realized how much music helps people think. I loved the film PACIFIC RIMΒ and found it amazing. I am glad that they were more of friends than they were a couple because personally we don't see enough of just friendship we see more of lovey-dovey stuff, don't get me wrong I love love, but I love seeing friendships too. Either way, you did a very very VERY good job.

Yes, I agree! There are not many friendship conveyed between females and males; they are often separated to play out their gender stereotypes! So I loved Pacific Rim for not making them lovers, but instead carrying a friendship a thousand times stronger than your Hollywood "love."

I don't think the writers even think about it which made me stunned when Beckett DIDN'T kiss Mori. I loved it though, it showed me a new thing to movies. It also makes writing a fanfiction easier *wink*. I love this picture though, you did an amazing job an I love how you incorporated Kirk and Spock into this theme. Job well done.

Ooh! Well they are leaning over, and the machines are attached to their legs, why they're not falling over. The big blue coloured thing in the corner is just a part of the machine, it's not one's leg, just in case that was confusing anyone!
