Description (The Batwing approaches the Eyrie Building)

Oracle: So... do I need to ask, why are you in New York?

Batman: A new strain of Venom has hit the streets, made using an unknown compound which I believe came from a subdivision of Xanatos Enterprises.

Oracle: I take it David Xanatos doesn't keep his most sensitive secrets on a computer, otherwise you would have had me hack into it.

Batman: And they say I'm the detective.

Oracle: My God, was that humor?

Batman: Have you tapped into the building's generators yet?

Oracle: I was in ten minutes ago.

Batman: Then kill the lights.

(The building goes dark, and Batman jumps from the Batwing and lands in the castle's courtyard)

(Montage of Batman knocking heads of Xanatos' goons, and taking out Steel Clan robots with an EMP)

Batman: Oracle, I have the formula.

Oracle: Was all that really necessary?

Batman: We don't have time to play nice. Whoever made this formula has gone to ground. Finding him will take time that we don't have.

Oracle: And you couldn't just tell Xanatos what was going on and ask nicely for the formula? Sorry, I know how much even you rich boys like to avoid a nasty scandal once in a while.

(Batman makes it back to the courtyard)

Oracle: Batman! Scans show an unknown heat signature on your twelve!

(Batman activates his cowl's infrared vision)

Batman: I see it.

(Goliath lands in the courtyard)

Goliath: You are trespassing...

FIGHT!

(Goliath charges)

(Batman throws several Batarangs, which Goliath swats away)

(Goliath slashes at Batman with his talons)

(Batman dodges and kicks Goliath hard in the chest, knocking him back)

Oracle: What's this thing made of? Just so you know, your suit only protects you so much. Too many kicks like that will break a lot of bones.

Batman: Not now.

(Goliath punches the ground and creates a small shockwave)

(Batman fires his grappling gun and zips to the top of the tower)

(Goliath climbs up after him)

(Batman hurls a flash-bang grenade that explodes in Goliath's face, sending him crashing back to the ground)

Goliath: Jalapeña...

(Batman hurls several smoke bombs to the ground as Goliath gets to his feet, he can't see a thing)

(Batman activates shock gloves)

Batman: Let's try this again.

(Batman jumps out of nowhere and beats Goliath into submission)

Goliath: What... are you?

Batman: I'm Batman...

Game!

Explanation

Goliath did have the advantage in experience, endurance, and strength; but I don't think that's enough to win this fight. For all his fighting experience, Goliath doesn't really have a fighting style that we can identify. Batman on the other hand has mastered every fighting style known to man, this knowledge combined with his gadgets helped turn the fight in his favor. The Gargoyles have been incapacitated by man-made electricity multiple times, and Batman fights superhuman beings on a regular basis. If he can dodge Darkseid's Omega Beams and sneak around Superman, there's no reason he can't do the same with Goliath. Plus Batman has shown he can hold his own against Darkseid's Parademons, which are similar to Goliath.

The Winner is Batman.

I really like Gargoyles. Still amazed it never been rebooted.

But yeah Batman has faced many enemies that are more powerful than Goliath & won.... and that if you don't count when he had to take on teams of villians.

Probably because they couldn't get anyone to replace Keith David.

I know Goliath has withstood worse, I think he'd win.
Batman has more skills no doubt. (I'm a huge batman fan)
But Goliath has crazy endurance, being shot by military machines and living. He also has super strength and claws that could tear batman's armor. But he did lose to Macbeth a few times, he's the batman of that world. Idk. All I know is if Goliath got his hands on batman, say during that "beating him into submission" thing. Goliath would crush him, and dick Grayson would be the new batman I see what you're saying, but I think if batman got too close, like say to hit him, Goliath would have it.

I don't usually bat-wank, but if this goes more than one round, Batman wins. He'd use some gadget to simulate sunlight and then shatter Goliath when he's frozen.

Actually, there appears to be a set time when gargoyles turn to stone. They can be inside a building and will still turn to stone when the sun rises.

All it takes is light at the intensity of the sun, or to make a gargoyle THINK they're being exposed to sunlight. Which Batman WOULD do.

You don't need to worry about me getting it wrong.
