Demona is a clone made from the DNA of Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Ruby. She was created by Professor Yoshi Serizawa, the professor of biology at Yokai Academy, who was both a warlock and also accomplished in human science. His experiments like Demona incorperated both of his skills. He secretly lusted for all the girls that he used to make Demona, but he could never have any of them because teacher's aren't allowed to do that with their students, so he would lose his job, and Yokai Academy was the only place where he could conduct his experiments.

His solution was to make a substitute, so he combined all their DNA, using science and sorcery to create Demona. But upon her creation she instantly rejected him and killed him.

She has all Moka, Kurumu, Yukari, Mizore, and Ruby's powers, she has also inherited the one thing they all have in common, their desire for Tsukune.

Demona also has her own unique abilities, such as her ability to dissolve into a violet mist (hence the story's name).

Moka's body with Kurumu's charm is a deadly combination that she loves to use.

But Demona has one major weakness. Due to her unnatural creation, she suffers from a serious birth defect. If she goes too long without feasting on human blood she'll start to age and decay.
