Lu is the self-proclaimed princess of the island of Albonquetine, characterized by her loud and arrogant nature. She is the definition of a spoiled brat. She continually exploits Mike, Og, and her pet turtle, Lancelot.

She has a habit of threatening Lancelot's life if she doesn't get her way.

"Either I'm the Good Captain Wendell, true friend of man or beast, or this turtle gets it!"

Lu always blames the others when something bad happens, especially when it is in reality all her fault. When she doesn't win something she accuses the others of cheating. And when she cheats she says she is allowed to because she's a princess, or "I'm not cheating, I'm winning!"

Another sign of her immaturity is that she openly denies the existence of the Cuzzlewits (the people who live on the other side of the island because of the feud they have with the Albonquetines).

Her father is the island's governor Wendell who is seemingly unable to control his daughter or of delivering any sort of punishment to her. He is then apt to start crying. He has been the island's Governor for many years, despite the fact that he is weak-willed, frets over the idea of having to make a firm decision, and can barely count.
