The best part is Buddy's not wrong. You can find Bacon via Treasure Finding on Cowboy Junction if you hit the Jackpot. It's rare, but it can happen.

No, Buddy. Bacon is not a mineral.
...
Cupcakes aren't a mineral, either.

I started to love it a couple of years ago, but since it's so unhealthy I eat it maybe once per year.

oh boy this page sure brings back memories....
finding bacon in cowboy junction for the first time was weird, but it was neat that they actually implemented it in the game
I kinda wish the ms had more of a roleplay aspect, choosing different dialogues wouldve been amazing

God yes! Would have worked but they decided to go the silent protagonist route (though I'm glad they changed that for agents.)

Agreed! I was never a huge fan of the silent protagonist anyway. There was a LOT of pressure not to give the PC a voice in Agents because many thought it would hurt player creativity or contradict the character they were role-playing. I reasoned that players wouldn’t mind if their character in a mystery-solving game was smart and good at solving mysteries. I think it worked out!

The wonderful thing is that it's basically how I got Katti's personality to form. I added my own touch of it of what I already had established, but how I envision her personality came directly from the PC of Agents.
(Also whomever wrote the dialogue/s has some comedy gold up their sleeve, or was it a team effort? I got some good laughs during all my playthroughs as a tween and even more as an adult )

On the other hand, having a silent protagonist in Kingdom led us to Buddy and Lyndsay, since I wanted to have contrasting viewpoints for each situation. While the player had no voice, they could still decide which character they agreed with more.

That is the good thing that came out of it because of how Lyndsay and Buddy play off each other and having the main character as the "sane man" made it all more fun.
Besides, here I can go all in with my take of the PC response and actions. C:
