Description This is a costume that I've been working on and off since last November! It's Turbine Divinity, for my friend of the same name, modelled after his own art and of his personal character, an anthropomorphic white and gold Crowned Eagle. This was a lot of fun to work on, even though it took a really long time, and is actually the third or fourth bird I've made in this general style. It's made of a whole bunch of things, but the list includes foam (3 kids), multiple types of fabric, marabou, plastic canvas, armature wire (thick), floral wire (thin), acrylic/metallic paints, glitter, and glowing electroluminescent wire eyes!

The wings and head are my creation; just to note, the dress was NOT made by me. Turbine had it custom-made, by an eBay seller in China that does custom gothic lolita type outfits. He is a he, but his character just likes to wear dresses and other froufy, decorative Victorian and/or Alice in Wonderland attire.

Wow! that is beautiful! The eyes look like they are glowing purple!

Is that plastic you've used for the beak? How did you get it to bend into that shape?

Technically the eyes are white elwire... though the glow does look a little bluish/purple on its own (it would look white next to actual purple wire, but so far it's the only wire on the head... so far!)

And the beak is actually made of painted foam (green upholstry foam, and condensed sheet foam), not plastic.

Oh wow! Really?! You could have fooled me! Matter of fact, you did. LOL

Wasn't it difficult to get that glossy finish on it since condensed foam is somewhat known to act like a sponge when liquids are applied, like sealant sprays and paints?
