Funny thing about clouds in this area . . . all day there are either buttermilk clouds, mares tails, herringbone patterns, aeolian ridges, scroll clouds, even veils of falling ice from thin cloud layers, but when the sun reaches the horizon, the clouds move on and leave only a few patches - like this one.
