I love it when the fandom tackles this issue, especially since this deactivation mode seems to imply a lot of vulnerability, no?
I imagine Hank would feel awkward in this scenario, but as time would go by, he'd encourage Connor to walk around as he sees fit, and he'd even show a paternal interest in the design - like worrying about what it means if Connor unwillingly retreats his skin, or wondering if it takes less energy/effort for Connor to just be like this at home (kinda like Mystique in X-Men)
