Description Yeah, i'd say that this tank is over 6000
so, is this apocalyptically destructive tank worthy of my upcoming 6000th pageview? i ran out of tan plate while making the ground, otherwise i'd have covered the bedsheets completely. i also used this as an excuse to try out some post-apocalyptic architecture

Very nice! I like the extra little touches you've added here, like the tools on the top and the explosion.

Nice!

A suggestion or two for "post-apocalyptic architecture": You could have some things leaning or partially collapsed, also maybe some debris on the ground.

i like the leaning idea i'll have to get a few hinges and more tan (tan is far too rare, in my opinion )

Who said anything about hinges?

Probably with less debris, though.

hey, what's the point of glowing green pieces if you can't use them for radioactive waste?

Ummm... *thinks for a moment* How about for putting on Insectoids ships? (which are probably radioactive anyway.)

But even so, there's nothing wrong with a little (or a lot of) radioactivity... besides the obvious...

Exactly! As a matter of fact, smoke detectors have radioactive components (at least mine does), you should check!

It's true! Take it off the ceiling and look at the back!

And of course it's a conspiracy, isn't everything?

Epic!
Nice tank. I love the background/set, and the fact that it's all color-matched. Tan legoes are so hard to come by. Lego store?

thanks! i designed it for a post-apocalyptic backdrop, so my creations woldn't just be alone on the sheets, and it seems like it worked out pretty well
oh yes, tan is very difficult to come by- that has a bit of a story behind it lol

my dad worked on a lego model of the Cincinnati Union Terminal (over 15 square feet in size, several million bricks, most of which were tan) and we had to get the tan somewhere, so we ordered it in bulk both on Bricklink and through the lego outlet, and he gave me what little extra there was (which was more than i expected, actually, consitering the sixe of the project). here's a pic of it without the roofs on the wings: [link]

Wow.
I may have just forgotten, but I didn't know your dad was a pro Lego modeler. That's awesome! I'm totally pro-lego for any age. I could ramble on(and have done) about how wonderful they are.

I need to look up this "Bricklink" ... *Looks it up*... That's a pretty useful site.

indeed he's not really a pro builder, it's about the only thing he's ever built (plus he had help from me and several other lego fans, one of whom works at the Discover Mills outlet). we originally planned to sell it to the real CUT (retired as a train station, now a museum) but it never came through and now it's sitting around somewhere.
