He must have been one of the most beautiful lions I have ever seen. Very expressive eyes, and such a gorgeous, two-coloured mane, and he was very slender. Often they put on a lot of weight in a zoo, because they don't have the space to move as they would need.

wish i took this. all i can get pics of are swans. they are pretty but i love big cats more

Then why don't you go into the zoo? Although I must say that I have yet to take a good picture of a swan. Somehow, I always end up with the tiny head and the long, thin neck, which doesn't look good on a picture... and they are rather spiteful birds, I think. You don't want to get too close.

yes the mane is very pretty like that...and you can almost feel in roar if you are close enough......
