Description info: for those of you who were confused by their relationship, Enkidu and Shamhat are both from the Fate series. Enkidu was a clay made by the gods and he became human after falling in love with a sacred prostitute named Shamhat and having sex with her for six days and seven nights. During that time Enkidu also ended up copying Shamhat's appearance thus they look very much alike.

Very pretty, I love the way the reflection shows he was made from clay, and I think they both look so nice. This piece is very serene and interesting.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is truely the greatest bromance to ever exist

Also, Kawacy is incorrect in regards to the actual legend.

Enkidu was a wildman created by the gods to kill Gilgamesh, as they'd realized that Gilgamesh was too powerful, however, Enkidu was of nature, not man. He lived amongst the animals of the forests and would regularly destroy the traps set by hunters and would destroy the fences of herders to allow their herd to escape. Eventually, one day, the farmers, herders, and hunters had enough of him and hired the sacred prostitute to calm him.
As was stated, they made love for 6 days and 7 nights. When this was done, Enkidu tried to return to the forest, but the animals fled from him and rejected him for they knew the sent of civilization upon him, and so he left the forest for good to live with Shamhat.

One day, a traveler was seen rushing through and Enkidu asked him why he was hurrying so. The man informed Enkidu that he was to be married soon and he was going to the city Gilgamesh was the king of before Gilgamesh took the right of the first night.
Enkidu learned that Gilgamesh was, essentially, cucking the entire city. Enraged, Enkidu swore vengeance against Gilgamesh for this and sprinted to the city. At the city, Enkidu rushed to the place where the wedding was to take place and stormed up to Gilgamesh and challenged him to a fight. If Enkidu won, he demanded, that Gilgamesh stop cucking the city. Gilgamesh gave no demands for his victory.
They fought in the street and it was a brutal fight. No man or beast to this point had ever given Gilgamesh a true challenge. Eventually, however, Gilgamesh won and knocked Enkidu into a cart. He helped Enkidu up and, the two of them having fought, now had great respect for one another and became great friends
---
In the original of that last part is states that they embraced one another and kissed. I'm assuming this is in the sense of kissing both cheeks, like how some Italians greet people.

I mean, yes, that's the origin, but you don't draw some little girl with knives and say "jack the ripper, from the serial killings"Β likewise this piece is the fate visual designs.Β

"Having sex with her for six days and seven nights"

I know Enkidu was made by the gods and all and that Shamhat is a sacred prostitute (whatever that means) but damn son! That's a lot of stamina!

These are characters from the Fate series which based these characters from their real world mythology counterparts. So it's a fan art.

That is the actual myth, yes. Though it’s more ambiguous in the myth as to what Enkidu actually is - he’s made from clay, but I think some versions refer to him as simply being more beast than man as opposed to a shapeshifter.
