hello!! i am eun here to talk about TDA models! first i say there is no problem with liking TDA and this only my opinion! although i show examples of TDA from users, this is not to hate them or be mean in anyway but it is a criticism and i hope everyone understand that!

so one thing anyone notice when going into the western MMD community... TDA is everywhere!
even if u just joined the MMD community today, you would quick be able to see the amount of TDA floating around on deviantart alone. it is possibly the most used model for model edits, because the quality of the original model by TDA. it is a very pretty and good model! however, because this, so many people use TDA to the points where it is not pleasant to the eye anymore.

When u see TDA for first time, it is probably very nice to look! The texture great and model cute! However, once all you see is TDA in the community, it gets old!
Take look on the MMD-Mall's bases sections! Not all is TDA, but there is still a very large amount of TDA! Even more than in the bases, there is so many clothes for TDA, add to the reason people like using it so much! i sure everyone who edit model has used TDA for some point, even i dids before! but after so long, this model type is too saturate in the community......

making/using TDA parts is not wrong, though!
there is still many TDA part edits that are very unique and pleasant for the eye! they don't look the same as all the other TDA model, and they look nice! however there not many like this, and many are very the same. that doesnet mean that the parts that look similar don't have a lots of love and work put into thems, but I will explaination the reason....

many tda face edit are from the default TDA model of miku, and the way the edit are made is by changing expression in transform views and then saving the expression to part of the model. this is very simple easy way to make edits for facials but there is big problem! it will only change the eye, eyebrow, mouth morphs! unless there is additional morphs for changing face shape, the modles only slightly different face! (usually the eye)!
many face edit are made like this way and so a lot turn out very simular because the editing is from an expression the first TDA model can make. examples:

as you see, it is very similar!! but if we try to do the same for a jjinomu TDA edit...

it's not possible to replicate the face of jjinomu's edit tda because they did more than edit face in transform view! example, jjinomu's tda miku has smaller eyes, and smaller eyes is not usually a morph in a tda models! the rest of the outfit, hair, etc is also unique because it's not the default miku tda outfit, and was edited!

another probem for tda is the body shapes which is usually the same..... though there are edit to them and they look good, most use the original body shape because a lots of cloth get fitted to it. and the default male body for tda is an edit that's popular, but it's just really the female original with no chest. same for this, a lot of male tda face are just the original but with no eye lash!

one more time i say, this not meant hate to any one!! it only my opinon and criticicm about the amounts of tda in community, and about how a lot of tdas look the same becausee the editing for it is simple.
