Description

The new episodes were amazing, weren't they? I mean, we finally got some legit backstories, and that ending! I couldn't believe they actually relinquished the elements! And I loved it! Not to mention the new box; now THAT will be fun!

And so I was inspired to draw this, 'cause I kinda had to do something. Hope you like! Traced off a screencap from Keep Calm and Flutter on.

Well, the Mane 6 had no choice to give up the Element of Harmony to the Tree of Hamrony, that is a only way to save Equestria.

I know! I was just expecting Hasbro to pull out some sort of loophole at the last minute, considering what a fuss they made about it defending Equestria in EG. But I guess the box is the loophole now.

Actually, something just occurred to me, and I came up with a theory as a result.

What we thought were the "Elements of Harmony" are actually just amplification tools that draw power from the Tree of Harmony. Nothing more, nothing less.

(Every time the amplifiers were used, it drained magic from the tree.)

Then what ARE the real Elements of Harmony?

Well, what Twilight said way back in S1E2 wasn't far from the truth:
The Mane Six THEMSELVES are the TRUE Elements of Harmony.

Equestria Girls supports my theory:

Twilight and the AU counterparts of the Mane Six are were able to manifest the power of the EoH themselves with ONLY the Element of Magic(or, according to my theory, the Element of Magic's amplification tool).

How could it have worked without the other 5 amplifiers?
Because Twilight was with the EQG universe's counterparts of the other 5 Elements.

(Granted, the "Element of Magic" may just serve as the integral part of the EoH that the other 5 cannot work without, but it's MUCH more epic this way.)

Plus, note that the colors of the streams of magic that flow from the "Elements of Harmony" to the Tree of Harmony are the EXACT SAME as the Mane Six's body colors.

 (Honesty=Orange, Kindness=Yellow, Loyalty=Cyan, Generosity=White, Laughterink, Magicurple)

It's HIGHLY likely that's foreshadowing for the finale, just like Starswirl's book was in S3.

And that gleam in Twilight's eyes?
That was her true "Element of Magic" power, unbound from its amplifier, being transferred to her.

I am DESPERATELY hoping that's going to be revealed in the finale. It would be quite a shock for the villain, AND a very epic surprise for the bronies.

(But still, having "2.0 amplifiers" in the boxes wouldn't hurt at all. ^_^)

Methinks that relinquishing the Elements will be a mistake they will come to regret in the finale...

Hopefully, the box contains reborn "Super" versions of the Elements, or Element of Harmony #7 (which the seeds cannot be destroyed without).

I can't either! I'm guessing some sort of Super version of the Elements, or some other Harmony weapon. What do you think?

XGluon In reply to KawaiiJoltic [2013-11-25 22:51:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you on the "Super Elements". It's the only logical reason why they would get rid of the EoH.

Now that I think about it, this whole scenario reminds me of "Sonic & Knuckles", specifically of how the Chaos Emeralds had to be relinquished in order for them to be converted into Super Emeralds.

Element of Benevolence!

Element of Charity!

Element of Devotion!

Element of er, Truth?

Element of... um, Good Spirits?

Element of um, I've got nothing.

Yeah, maybe not such a good idea after all.

In MMC, Celestia gave what could be Elements 2.0's names. "Since you came to Ponyville, you've displayed the Charity, Compassion, Devotion, Integrity, Optimism, and, of course, the Leadership..." kinda.

Personally, I'm thinking that they'd have the same names, just with a "Super" prefix.
"Super Element of Kindness"
"Super Element of Generosity"
"Super Element of Loyalty"
"Super Element of Honesty"
"Super Element of Laughter"
"Super Element of Magic"

That sounds more likely.

I support all your theories (EoH 2.0, EoH #7, And ancient Equestrian Weapon of Harmony and Super Elements). But, the best thing about the season 4 finale, as the villain overpowers the Mane Six and Spike, maybe the things they recieved (Daring Do book, fang, rainbow thread, etc.) will become the Keys for the Box. Then, all the things I mentioned.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

XGluon In reply to MLPFiMRox [2014-01-12 02:58:06 +0000 UTC]

Some things I have to note about your theories

1. Regarding the Daring Do novel...

Great. Just great. I was waiting for that Daring Do novel for Celestia knows how long, and I was excited that it co-starred ME, but now it just went and turned into a key, and you can't read keys. That's just great.
(Although there are two things possible:
A: Daring Do slipped the key inside the book(perhaps the Daring Do book is just an ordinary book, and the REAL key is in the form of a bookmark that Daring Do enclosed in it for RD?)
B: The objects the Mane Six have received don't turn into the keys; the "connections to the Mane Six's virtues" that they possess serve as the keys to unlock the box.
Personally, I think B is much more likely. Parts of the fandom ARE believing that the keys are going to be keys in a figurative sense.)

2. Fluttershy's fang(s)(I say "fang(s)" because it's impossible to tell if Fluttershy kept one of her fangs or both of them due to the angle she's standing at) don't really have any connection to a valuable lesson or quality, so as a result they most likely are unrelated to the box and the keys. Plus, none of the fans would want to see Fluttershy in pain as she has one(or two) of her teeth pulled out!

(But I DO think that the rainbow thread has a connection to the box and the keys, seeing as how, in addition to its rainbow color, it shone in the body colors of the Mane Six, plus it was next to other spools of thread that had the same colors as the Mane Six's body colors.)

But still, I must notice that Rainbow Dash got the novel in S4E4, and Rarity got the rainbow thread in S4E8. The finding of the first key and the finding of the second key are four episodes apart.  So it appears that they're gonna find a key every fourth episode.

(That is, the third key will be found in S4E12, the fourth key in S4E16, the fifth in S4E20, and the final key will be found in S4E24.)

Moreover, both episodes had the Mane Six writing in their journal near the end...Perhaps the Mane Six's journal(which they most likely found in the old castle's library) is indeed the "book with the information on the box and keys" that Celestia spoke of?
(If that's true, then part of me is hoping that the Mane Six will stop using their journal in the S4 finale, as they realize its true purpose was to help them find the keys. The other part of me, though, is hoping that they'll continue to use it as a "re-usable friendship letter", sending it to Celestia and Luna for them to look over(which it's possible that the Mane Six have been doing; after all, we have neither seen how the Mane Six begin their entries nor how they give it to each other).)

Finally, there's the matter of this new "Rainbow Power" toyline that Hasbro has been been promoting hype over. I bet ya that this "Rainbow Power" dealie(mainly involving the title and Mane Six's upgraded appearances) has MUCH to do with the box's contents; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it actually DOES.  Plus, the previews are also hinting at a return of the Elements of Harmony; I've noted that, not only does the "Rainbow Power" logo sport the silhouettes of the EoH gems, but Twilight is wearing her old crown(which just so happens to be the Element of Magic's frame), which is sporting a (new) gem(I don't know if it's the old Element of Magic gem, a new Element gemstone(maybe the "Element of Leadership", based on the "upgraded Element virtues"(Integrity(Honesty), Charity(Generosity), Optimism(Laughter), Compassion(Kindness), Devotion(Loyalty), and Leadership(Magic)) that Celestia mentioned in Magical Mystery Cure), or some new "ancient friendship weapon" gemstone, but it HAS to be very powerful for Twilight to start wearing her old crown again)in the previews and images.

But still, the "S4 finale villain(I'm personally hoping that it'll be the Pony of Shadows(she/it(The whole "former part of Nightmare Moon" suggests that the PoS could be female, but we don't know because we've only seen the PoS's shadow and eye glow) is giving me a really big "future villain" vibe)) initially has the upper hand, but then situation reversed by the Mane Six getting equipped with the box's contents(as I've said above, getting supercharged with "Rainbow Power", and also possibly getting new Elements)" IS what'll most likely happen, and that'll be VERY epic as well. (After all, one of the show's writers DID say that the epicness of the S4 finale will be on par with that of This Day Aria; and I should know; I've listened to This Day Aria, and it's an EPIC song).

(...I made this too complex, didn't I?)

Maybe, but I'm not sure where Power Ponies fits in canon. Maybe it's a fantasy of one of the characters?

I kinda want it to give them magical girl powers, but more than anything, I want the keys to time... I MEAN to the box to be a major plotpoint.
