Description Anchor of the Marie Gabrielle, shipwrecked in 1869.
Wreck Beach, Great Otway National Park, Victoria, Australia.

=prophetek and I are back from our mini honeymoon of sorts, and on our time away we visited possibly the most awesome place I have ever been to. Wreck Beach is a secluded beach off the Great Ocean Road which you can only visit at low tide and when the weather is clear. On the beach are a couple of anchors from old shipwrecks.
It is also a challenging walk, making your way down and up 366 rather steep steps. I will never forget how many steps I had to walk back up, it was painful, but so very worth it. Everything else kinda paled in comparison after going to this beach.

And although I've edited this shot, the seaweed/algae-type substance was seriously that toxic green. It was all amazing.

There's been quite a few wrecks along the coast of Australia, and supposedly some of them you can dive around. Not much left there except the ship itself as the items have all been taken away and put in museums (to avoid people stealing things), but they're meant to be pretty amazing to see.

I think it would be awesome to learn how to scuba dive. My uncle can do it, and he's a professional photographer, and takes pretty shots of things like seals and coral and stuff ;0;

ohhh that'd be fun. My stepdad is a dive master/teacher. He's been scuba diving in Mexico and The dominican. He said it's incredible when you see it. Like it's a totally different world.
